A while ago, I wrote an article about trendy fonts, I was surprised to see how many designers make their own typography. And not only designers, bloggers and digital publishers really enjoy creating their own type-fonts. I usually  go to Google Fonts. But I was so caught up with the excitement of creating something different, that decided to share these resources with you.

There are so many beautiful fonts that make any creative project visually appealing. Handwritten fonts are very popular these days, in this post I’ll focus only on this style.

Probably you have seen many pics and social media banners with handwritten fonts. This type-face has many uses, it goes well on web design, landing pages and even e-books.

Some fonts are free only for personal use. It takes time to get a font that’s free for commercial purposes as well, even though they’re the most wanted. So today we’re going to discover handwritten fonts free for commercial use. Let’s dive in.

Peach Sundres Font

Is a rounded upright scrip that fits within the cursive category. It’s perfect for pics, headings, sub-headings and social media banners. Made by Teagan White, thanks to her we have free access and are able to use this font for commercial work.



Playlist font

It’s a beautiful handwritten font perfect for any DIY project, provided by Artimasa. There are three styles: Scrip,Caps and Ornaments. Playlist is fresh and fun and more important free!

This fun typeface was created by William Bayley Suckling, a graphic designer based in London. It’s part of an art project and now he shares this type-face with us.


Good Dog

It’s a handwritten style made by Maonhead Design, it’s a rounded type-face super popular in Font Squirrel and in the blogging world. Good Dog comes with the lower and upper case, ready to create awesome visuals.


Something Wild

A free handwritten font made by the Media Lab team, for the creative community. This is a brush  type-font casual and perfect for any kind of design. Something Wild goes well with pics and banners and it comes in all popular formats.


Badhead Typeface

Made by Ianmikraz studio, Badhead comes in various styles and few open features are available on Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. It’s free and perfect for those designs that require an elegant touch.



reis font

Reis was created by Marcelo Reis Melo. It’s a handwritten brush style made exclusively for designers. It’s useful for posters, banners and headlines. It’s also available on Bahance.
