The Beginner’s Guide to Visual Story Telling

For a while now, I’ve been thinking on how to put all my ideas about Visual Communication together.

This practical guide gives some insights on how to bring about stories and share them with an audience.  This helps me as much (I hope!) as you. If you’re considering to share a story but not sure yet how to do it, have a read through this.  I’m giving some background information, few tips and key ideas for you to consider before embarking on a project. This piece of information resumes many years of working in visual communication; as I was trying to gather good sounded information I thought it would be nice to share it with the world.

Stories are told in many ways and formats; however, the principles of story telling are the same no matter which platform you’re using to communicate. It’s also helpful to understand the psychological impact different mediums have on the audience. By this I mean that a still image has a unique way of communicating with the spectator different from the moving image. In addition to that, we have the mobiles phones, which are also a great platforms to share stories.

Bear in mind that every story in the world has something to say about the story-teller, so it’s always wise to consider the topic you’re going to talk about and how you’re going to present it. Images are extremely powerful these days, hence the importance of quality stories. This is a very straight forward piece of information that I truly wish will help you.
