The South of Spain seems to be the most propitious place to hold street celebrations. These pictures were taken in a small village named Alhaurin el Grande in the southern province of Malaga, Spain. Every 15th of August the town pays tribute to its main Virgin. Once again the streets embrace a welcoming atmosphere inviting the passer by to grab a chair and enjoy the view.
This picture was taken in Seville, Spain during the city main festivities. Also known as La Feria de Sevilla, and takes place every year the second week of April. The event characterises for numerous street parades, live music entertainment and stalls offering a range of traditional Spanish food. This image was finalist of the AOP Open competition the year 2008.
Photography is a process that takes certain elements of reality and arrange them into something new.
